Welcome to Lustre 2.0! And Thank You!

All

By Erica and Karen

Today is the first day of Lustre’s next chapter. We made it, thanks to all of you! With inaugural members from thirty eight states, we know Lustre can become the go-to resource for women who are creating a new vision of retirement, aging, and how we want to live now. We are so glad you continue to be part of this journey.

So, what is in store for all of us?

One, of course, is advocacy for older women, and women who have retired from decade-long careers. Our mission is to show us as we are, to put us on the map and in the conversation. That effort will keep going, full steam.

Two, an exciting program of events, both virtual and in person, starting with high level Citibankers who can help us understand what’s going on in the markets. You can RSVP to all of them, starting today. If you missed any prior ones, or our podcasts, you can hear recordings here

We are committed to a Speakers Program bringing unique experts and information, in a curated and participatory way. And, if you haven’t already, do check out Thursday morning’s Susan Show. It’s a water cooler for the news of the week, led by a veteran newswomen, tailored just for us.

Three, we want to know you and what you want. To that end, we will be sending you surveys from time to time. The first survey, here, is focused on how you want to engage with Lustre. We want to hear your stories and learn from you and those you may know. Please take a few minutes to fill it out.

Four, in the meantime, check out our comments section. It is a running compilation of all of the comments we’ve received on our posts. Much more than thumbs up and emojis. Our subscribers tell fabulous stories of their careers and who we all are now.

Five, another way to share what we know is The Lustre List—a repository of insider travel tips from Lustre women as they travel the world. See the big and little jewels on the list already, and add your own. With your membership, we hope to grow this unique List, add ways to interact with it and make it even more user friendly. Where else can you find that tiny amazing restaurant in Milan that doesn’t even have a website.

And, if travel is your thing, check out our travel articles too. Our travel writer, Sharon, is an expert. We hope to make some plans for bespoke travel with her.

With your support, Lustre and its footprint can grow: live events in cities around the country, more information and expertise about everything from health to where and how we want to live, opportunities to connect.

Thank you for becoming a Member. Please do tell your friends. Together, we can make Lustre the Ms. Magazine for the next chapters of our lives.
