Hallowe'en

By Karen and Erica

Hallowe’en already. Are you going to a party? Trick or treating? Dressed as—what?

Will you carve a pumpkin? If you happen to be in NYC, go to Chelsea Market. You will see amazing multitudes of incredible carved pumpkins. And a lot of other crazy stuff. There’s even a pumpkin carving class.

Avoid the parade if you are claustrophobic. But go just before dusk to the streets in the west 20s where every house is decorated and lots of little goblins and warlocks will be gleefully filling their bags with sweet loot.

We will bow to the day by wearing orange and black. And some spiderweb hose and black batwing earrings. But that’s about it. Unless we find someone giving away candy corn, in which case we’ll be very very bad. That is one of our many secret vices.

If you are going to do something adventurous, or witchy, we would love to hear about it.
